WHEN IN: MYKONOS

WHAT to expect

Peering through the window of our Boeing 717 while the cabin prepared for landing, we were greeted by a view that immediately lived up to every expectation we had of the justifiably popular Greek Island.
Our fortunately timed descent synchronised with the sun as it sunk behind the Aegean Sea, creating a striking contrast between clear blue and a wall of white.
With a wanderlust-inducing selection of luxurious hotels, cost-efficient rentals and party resorts, Mykonos attracts holiday-making families, party-hungry backpackers and loved-up couples alike.
Whichever experience you seek, this magical little island will surely deliver. Here are our must-dos to ensure you get the most out of Mykonos...

WHERE TO EAT

Our pickKiki's Tavern

Arguably one of the island's most in-demand restaurants with people queuing for up to 4 hours to eat, all food is uniquely cooked in a wood fire outdoor oven as Kiki's uses no electricity. The complimentary wine and serene atmosphere make the wait a lot less painless. The incredible and well priced food doesn't hurt either.
